2020 FVMAs

It's somehow time for another Fraser Valley Music Awards! CIVL 101.7fm's 5th year.

Big shout out to Station Manager, Aaron Levy, for pulling it off this year. With a new website submission platform to top it all off!

I'm always blown away by the level of talent that comes in with the submissions.

The standouts for me this year are:

Bathtowel

Formerly Little Evening, Tal Wieczorek, creates sweet-bedroom tracks with a knack for lyrism.

Jenny Benai

It's been a treat following Jenny through the years, as they continue to refine their sound with each production. Couchwalker is a beautiful, lush album.

Mackenzie Widdows

I've written about my thoughts on Mackenzie Widdows before. It's just really exciting and refreshing to see something like this coming out of the Fraser Valley.

Mauvey

Great mix of synthy 80s beats and r&b.
