Common Room Recording Grant Jury

And the winner is... Cathleen Affleck!

I had the honour of being on the jury for the first ever Common Room Recording Grant, organized by the Common Room Music Collective.  

Though I'm pretty familiar with the Fraser Valley's unique and expansive music scene, I was so impressed with the applicants. It was really amazing to hear such a talented range of artists brought together for one submission.

Affleck's album is solid and beautiful and I know they'll put the grant money to good use.

(I admit that my heart was set on Mackenzie Widdows as the winner – their music is so much fun! Your time will come, Mackenzie!!)
